ANIMAL LOVERS

Angela, Garth, and their daughter Emma moved from Canada to San Miguel de Allende in the summer of 2018.  Dogs and cats have always been a constant in their lives, and as huge animal lovers, it wasn’t long after their arrival in SMA that they adopted a puppy in Mexico.

They took over Creature Comforts Boarding Kennels and Cattery in the summer of 2021 and had the mission of continuing the philosophy to create an environment where your pets are safe, happy, well-exercised, and socialized with others.

Our 16 large kennels/runs - promote interaction and play between all of our guests, providing access to indoor spaces with beds & blankets, cool fresh water, shade, and shelter from the outdoors.  No small crates or cramped cages are used to house your pets. The large outdoor run spaces allow our guests to safely enjoy one another’s company, whether wrestling and playing or chilling in the shade after a long campo run.

We believe exercise is fundamental for your pet to stay healthy.  Energy burning is very important to the development of our pets.  Lack of exercise can cause stress and result in bad behavior.  For this reason, the dogs typically enjoy two long off-leash campo runs a day. With a higher level of activity and our interaction with our guests, our hope is that they will relax and enjoy their time in our kennels.
